Zahir Chapman
Assistant Development Manager
Zahir Chapman joined the BLOCS team in 2025 as a Development Assistant on the Stewardship Team and was later promoted to Assistant Development Manager. In his current role, he supports donor engagement and relationship management by introducing tax credit programs, guiding contributions, explaining eligibility, and helping expand access to PreK–12 private education through EITC, OSTC, and EDS. His work focuses on building strong partnerships and ensuring donors and school communities are well-supported throughout the giving process.
Having seen BLOCS’ impact firsthand through his younger brother, Chapman is committed to the organization’s mission.
Prior to BLOCS, Chapman worked as an admissions counselor at West Chester University (2024–2025), supporting student recruitment and engagement. He was also a Division II track and field athlete at West Chester University and served as co-founder and Campus Captain (2022–2024) of The Hidden Opponent Club at West Chester, working closely with the national nonprofit to support mental health for student-athletes. Chapman earned his bachelor’s degree in 2022 and master’s degree in 2024. His experience with nonprofits, education, and as a student-athlete shapes his approach to mentorship and expanding educational access.
