Sarah Stickel

Development Coordinator

Sarah Stickel joined BLOCS in 2024 to champion the organization’s Stewardship initiatives and strengthen the ways BLOCS recognizes, engages, and builds lasting relationships with its generous community of donors. In her role, she works to develop meaningful stewardship opportunities that celebrate the impact of philanthropy and help schools and the BLOCS team foster a culture of gratitude.

Through her work at BLOCS, Stickel has helped develop and implement a variety of donor appreciation initiatives, resources, and communications designed to connect donors more closely with the students and schools they support. She collaborates across departments and with school communities to create thoughtful stewardship experiences that demonstrate the tangible impact of donor generosity.

Before joining BLOCS, Stickel worked as a theater Costume Designer, creating costumes for regional productions across the United States. Her theatrical background fostered a passion for storytelling, creativity, collaboration, and bringing ideas to life—skills she now applies to her work in development and donor stewardship.

Stickel holds a Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Costume Design from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University, where she majored in Theatre with minors in Art and Communications. Her multidisciplinary background in the arts and communications, combined with her commitment to philanthropy and education, allows her to approach stewardship with an emphasis on thoughtful communication, meaningful experiences, and building strong relationships.

Stickel resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, their son, and their three cats.
