Kate Hagarty joined the BLOCS Business Development team as Senior Development Executive in 2023. In her role, Hagarty is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and private donors to advance the BLOCS mission among the Philadelphia business community.

A native to both the fundraising space as well as Catholic education; Hagarty brings more than sixteen years of philanthropic experience to the development team at BLOCS. Most recently, Hagarty served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Pope John Paul II High School, working alongside the President and Board of Directors to lead all major gift and annual fund solicitation, manage corporate and foundation relations, as well as specializing in all EITC development efforts.

Prior to joining BLOCS, Hagarty served in lead advancement, event and stewardships roles at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Foundation/Main Line Health, Gwynedd Mercy University, and educational institutions from pre-k and primary schools to secondary schools and higher education.

Hagarty is an alumna of Temple University and earned her MA in English Language and Literature from The Catholic University of America. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive from CFRE, International and has earned her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy from The American College of Financial Services. She is also a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School.

Kate lives in North Wales with her husband, three children who attend Corpus Christi Catholic School, her mother, and dog named Bo.
