TO RECEIVE DONATION FROM DOWNINGTOWN NATIONAL BANK

Bill Latoff,
chief executive officer of Downingtown National Bank, will present
a check for $65,000 to Most Reverend Joseph P. McFadden, Auxiliary
Bishop of Philadelphia; Richard V. McCarron, Secretary for Catholic
Education; Deacon John K. Hunter, Director of Business Leadership
Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS); and Regina DiGuilio, Executive
Director of Institutional Advancement, Office of Catholic Education.
Downingtown National Bank’s donation is made through the
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) to Business Leadership
Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

schools receiving the EITC monies are: Saint Agnes School, West
Chester; Saint Joseph School, Downingtown; Saints Simon and Jude
School, West Chester; Saint Patrick School, Kennett Square; Saint
Maximilian Kolbe School, West Chester; Saint Elizabeth School,
Uwchlan; Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary School, Avondale; Sacred
Heart School, Oxford; Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary
School, Coatesville and Bishop Shanahan Catholic High School,
Downingtown.
Downingtown
National Bank has supported BLOCS through the EITC program since
2006. BLOCS, under the direction of Deacon Hunter, is committed
to raising financial assistance for families that wish to provide
their children with a value-based Catholic education.
